The term "neutering" refers to the surgical removal of the ovaries and uterus from an intact female pet (ovariohysterectomy; OHE; spay) or the removal of the testicles from an intact male dog or cat (castration). New pet owners often contemplate the decision whether or not to neuter their pets. Yet there is no real reason not to.
