The Great Wall Of China - An Architectural Marvel

The Great Wall of China, which is symbolic of the country's unity, stretches over 6,000 kilometers, all the way from Jiayu Pass situated in the Gansu Province in the west until Yalu River present in the Liaoning Province in the east. The wall is nearly 7.8 meters tall and is about 5.8 meters wide. It was built in sections to protect the northern boundaries of the Chinese Empire from raiding Mongol and Manchurian nomadic tribes.
